xControl – the new control module from Fischer Panda

As of October 2014, Fischer Panda will be equipping its asynchronous generators with the new xControl control module. Innovative, flexible, reliable and user-friendly are major characteristics of this generator control.

This digital control replaces the VCS control and the P6+ panel of the current asynchronous generators.

In the modern data communication age, it is vitally important to integrate the generator into the energy system. The xControl is particularly powerful and offers you the following benefits:

• Logging and readout of all operational data
• Digital panel – user-friendly
• Communication interface – integration with other control systems
• Self-test of all functions – safe and reliable
• Automatic start function

The xControl includes 3 parts that are interlinked via connectors; the digital panel, a connection box and the control unit itself. Intelligent communication between these components ensures reliable functioning of the generator.

Market introduction is scheduled as follows:

• As of October 2014: marine generators Panda 8000PMS and Panda 12000PMS 230V/50Hz with 12V starting system
• As of November 2014: all marine generators up to Panda 30PMS
• As of December 2014: vehicle generators up to Panda 30 PVMV-N
• As of March 2015: 400V-50Hz + special models
