Green energy at scouts camp
More and more youth organisations are opting for green energy on their camping grounds. They deserve every encouragement and that is why we are glad to sponsor them! This summer we sponsored Scouts 28 Zaoeja and Scouts Vlierbeek.
The solar generator of Scouts Vlierbeek is a closed trailer with 8 solar panels generating an output of 3kWp. The trailer contains 4 batteries with an overall capacity of 10kWh. The solar panels and batteries were connected to an EasySolar II-GX 48/3000. The solar generator was used following extensive testing and approval. In the future other scouts groups will also have access to this battery system.

Scouts 28 Zaoeja built a solar station that can be used to connect a freezer and charge mobile phones. Thanks to this battery system they no longer have to make 3 runs per day to a local farmer to collect food. This scouts group also hopes to inspire other scouts groups to use green energy at camp.
