Project in the spotlight: Synoptic panels

Synoptic panels represent installations or (chemical) processes schematically. Depending on their location, these panels must be resistant to often harsh weather conditions, aging, and chemical products.

When the panel is also placed in an ATEX environment, it becomes particularly complex. Due to the risk of static electricity, plastic plates cannot be used, and metal plates can also cause an undesirable side effect (capacitance!) if they are glued to a metal substrate.

Ysebaert NV has recently replaced some old synoptic panels for a client in the Port of Antwerp. The panels carry a classification of II 2G Ex db eb mb IIC T6 Gb IP65 and are therefore suitable for use in zone 1 regardless of the type of gas.
