Panels for zone 2

Ysebaert has always preferred (and still does) assembly for zone 1 and / or 21. Your assembled housing is then supplied with an EU type examination certificate for the whole unit, issued by a Notified Body.

However, in some specific cases this is not possible, and a different solution needs to be found. The ATEX114 Directive allows the possibility of self-certification for zone 2 and/or 22 (= module internal production control) for this kind of hazard.

The HMI panels made by Siemens are a typical example. These are only certified for zone 2 and 22 and can therefore not be marked for zone 1 and/or 21 when they are integrated.

After a thorough risk analysis, Ysebaert drew up an EU declaration of conformity for this unit. In the certificate, we declare that this housing may be used in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and the prevailing standards in zone 2 (II 3 G).
