Made-to-measure solution from MTL Products for the replacement of (defective) Eurocards in 19” racks

For many years Eurocards were frequently built into 19” racks in process technology. As you have noticed, it has become increasingly difficult to get new Eurocards.

From now on, MTL Products is opting for a totally different concept.

This custom solution consists of a new 19” rack where the known Exi separators of the 4500 series are mounted on a printed circuit board or backplane. Depending on the type, up to 24 separators can be attached to this backplane.

When designing your specific 19” rack, the position and length of the existing cables are also taken into account. In the example shown, the non-Exi cables are routed to terminals at the back of the backplane, while on the Exi side an extra blue and pre-wired terminal block allows an 'extension' of the (too) short cables.

This solution also makes it possible to transition your old installation in phases (rack by rack), which means in a budget-friendly way.
